Finally I am off from the work today yay~~~~ so I had time to try my new nail polish that I picked up from Longs Drugs about a week ago when they had 25% off sale on Loreal cosmetics.
Loreal nail polishes are my favorite drug store brand nail polish because first of all the brush is awesome to work with second of all I love the variety of colors they have and third of all they do not dry up in the tube fast unlike some of the other drug store brand nail polishes.
The one that I picked up is Loreal nail polish in VIP STATUS. When I saw this, I fell in love with the color and I had to have it although I already have more than enough nail polishes I felt like 'I don't have any nail polish colors like this one!' haha... what a excuse......
I used one cote of Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Nylon+Retinol Strengthener (what a long name...) as a base cote and had to use three cotes of VIP STATUS to get fully opaque coverage (I think if you want you can use a fourth cote to get even darker and more opaque color just like in the tube!). Although it has a sheer color pay off (if you need to apply three cotes to get opaque coverage it is sheer right?) the application of this nail polish was very smooth and not at all streaky. One thing that I did not like about this nail polish is that it has a kind of strong chemical smell that bothered my nose for like hours.
In my opinion, this color will look gorgeous on any skin colors and good for night out! However, I will be wearing this nail polish to work probably next four to five days (I am not careful with my nails at all so my nail polish will last for four to five days maximum!).
